With a few steps, you can create a closeable pop-up with InDesign and in5 that can show an ad when you scroll down the page. Here's how:

1. Create the content for your scrolling site.
2. Go to the page where you want the pop-up to appear. Build it with the in5 Pop-up Builder. You can also make your own with a button and a multi-state object (MSO).

3. Swap the object states in the MSO. Put the ad content in the first state. Put the empty state second.
4. Select the close button and apply these settings:
   • Event: On Release or Tap
   • Action: Go To State
   • Object: the name of the MSO that holds the pop-up
   • State: empty
5. Select the MSO and apply an Appear animation preset. Set it to On Page Load.

The ad now appears when the reader scrolls to that page. The close button hides it.
