You can create animated content in InDesign using the InDesign animation presets (Window > Interactive > Animation).
You will need an active in5 subscription in order to export your animation with in5 without the watermark.
You can set the resolution of the images in your animation in the output when you export (in5 > Export HTML5 with in5...) by going to the Advanced section of the Export HTML5 with in5 dialog and changing the Image Quality to High Definition.

If your exported content from in5 appears blurry before you make the animated GIF, then here are some solutions:
If your exported content appears how you'd like but your resulting animated GIF appears pixelated, then it may due to the animated content that you're trying to convert. Some animation presets such as Fade in cause pixelation. Animated GIFs have a very limited color palette. To reproduce areas with varying levels of transparency (which can include anti-aliased text), there may be dithering that causes artifacts.
For better animated GIF results, try the following:
- Use sans-serif fonts to reduce anti-aliasing around the characters.
- Reduce the duration of animations that change opacity settings.
- Replace animations that change opacity settings to a different animation preset.
- Test various Dithering settings in the in5 Animated GIF Maker.
- Test various levels of compression in the in5 Animated GIF Maker following the recording.
